Role Overview

The Financial Business Analyst is tasked with interpreting accounting figures to generate actionable insights aimed at guiding managerial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for all financial and operational reports including monthly performance packages, key performance indicator dashboards, and variance analyses for both sites.
  • Design and update financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis in partnership with the Cluster Finance Controller.
  • Examine deviations between actual figures and budgets, discern underlying reasons, and present clear recommendations to site managers and business units.
  • Create and sustain management tools such as Excel models and business intelligence dashboards that deliver timely and trustworthy performance data.
  • Assist the Cluster Finance Controller in preparing business reviews, presentations for the board, and group-level reporting.
  • Discover opportunities to enhance profitability through data examination across sites focusing on cost structures, pricing strategies, and volume factors.
  • Participate in enhancing and designing data integration between operational systems and financial reporting processes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in financial planning & analysis, management control, or business analysis within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Expertise in financial modelling and advanced competency in Excel.
  • Proven ability to derive reliable and decision-ready analyses in environments with incomplete or developing data systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex financial data into understandable and actionable insights for managers without finance backgrounds.
  • Highly self-motivated with the capacity to independently plan, structure, and execute analyses.
  • Proficiency in both English and German languages.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience in industrial cost controlling including standard costing, production variance analysis, and absorption costing.
  • Academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
