Role overview
Canonical is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its FP&A function and the wider finance organization. In this position, you will contribute to monthly business reviews, quarterly forecasting, annual planning, financial modeling, and cross-functional alignment that supports strategic and commercial decisions. The ideal person is highly analytical, works well independently, and enjoys using business judgment backed by data to guide important financial and operational choices.
This is a remote position for candidates located in EMEA or Americas time zones.
What you will do
- Analyze unit economics, key performance indicators, and variance drivers to uncover actionable business insights.
- Assist with quarterly and annual planning, forecasting, reporting, and monthly budget review cycles.
- Evaluate commercial initiatives and their strategic or financial impact on the company.
- Build objective analyses and repeatable processes that help a fast-growing technology business scale efficiently and make informed decisions.
- Contribute to cross-functional transformation initiatives that improve systems, workflows, and data quality.
- Work with stakeholders across the business and communicate progress against financial and strategic targets.

- A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related discipline.
- Experience using business intelligence reporting tools, CRM systems, or ERP systems.
- Exposure to budgeting and planning software or data visualization tools.

Pay is shaped by geography, experience, and performance, and compensation is reviewed every year, with more frequent reviews for graduates and associates.
