Role overview

We are hiring a Financial Analyst to join a finance team that supports business decision-making with clear, objective analysis. In this role, you will help leaders understand performance drivers, evaluate the impact of different options, and improve reporting visibility. You will also contribute to core finance activities and help strengthen data-driven decision-making through faster, more reliable reporting.

This position follows a remote-first approach, but the successful candidate must be based in the greater Vancouver, British Columbia area so they can participate in occasional in-person interactions for collaboration, strategy, and team connection.

What you will do

  • Deliver fact-based financial and operational analysis to stakeholders across Finance and other business teams.
  • Adopt and apply newer analytics methods and stronger data management practices.
  • Work with colleagues to prepare basic business cases and support approval discussions with senior leadership.
  • Transform raw data into business insights by gathering information from multiple sources, combining datasets, and using queries, Excel, and BI tools to present findings clearly.
  • Help build self-serve reporting for the business while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of shared reports.
  • Make sure stakeholders receive timely, relevant, and dependable financial and operational reporting.

What we are looking for

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a finance or analytics position.
  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Previous business experience along with hands-on skills in Excel, financial analysis, and data analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL knowledge and/or basic programming ability.
  • Experience using Power Query.

Additional information

The role is open to candidates who are able to work from the greater Vancouver area. It is eligible for overtime. Compensation is reviewed based on skills and experience, and pay may increase as you grow in the role. The posting is for one available position.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is CAD 65,000 to CAD 75,000.
