About the Role

An international organisation providing healthcare services is looking to hire a Qualified Financial Accountant to handle various financial activities, reporting duties, and compliance requirements. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the position offers an extensive range of experiences across areas including financial accounting, operational finance, treasury, audit collaboration, budgeting, and enhancing financial processes within a global corporate setting. This opportunity is a fixed term contract lasting 12 months, accompanied by full employee benefits and a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts payable operations such as processing invoices, handling supplier payments, performing reconciliations, and resolving payment queries.
  • Manage accounts receivable functions involving invoicing, cash allocations, and assisting credit control efforts.
  • Carry out treasury duties including bank reconciliations, forecasting cash flow, making funding requests, and managing cash resources.
  • Prepare management accounts monthly and quarterly, post journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and support the month-end closing process.
  • Complete VAT submissions, contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, and perform financial analyses that support strategic business decisions.
  • Assist in statutory audits by coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants, ensuring robust internal controls are maintained.
  • Develop and update financial procedures while playing an active role in driving continuous process improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of ACA or ACCA accounting qualification is required.
  • At least three years of relevant finance experience within a multinational company.
  • In-depth expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and operational finance functions.
  • Proficient in SAP software usage and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities; capable of managing several tasks efficiently and working independently as well as collaboratively.
