Job description

About the company

Dojo is reshaping the payments space and has grown quickly to become a leading acquirer in the UK. Built for in-person commerce, its payments infrastructure supports billions in annual transactions for more than 150,000 customers across four countries.

The company emphasizes hiring exceptional people and giving them trust, autonomy, and ownership so they can do their best work and contribute to continued growth across Europe.

The role

This position sits within a fast-scaling finance function and acts as a key support for the UK parent company as the business expands into Ireland and further into Spain, Italy, and France. You will work closely with the Head of Finance (PCF 11) and help provide the financial control, regulatory support, and governance needed for the Irish entity during international growth.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys technical accounting, regulatory discipline, and safeguarding responsibilities in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and file financial and statistical regulatory submissions with the Central Bank of Ireland, making sure they are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Own the day-to-day safeguarding reconciliation process in line with Central Bank of Ireland safeguarding guidance.
  • Maintain the safeguarding framework, including the policies and procedures needed to support a business operating across multiple regions.
  • Track regulatory capital and liquidity positions to ensure ongoing compliance with E-Money Regulations.
  • Provide technical accounting and regulatory input to support expansion into new European markets.
  • Lead monthly close activities and audit support, while working with UK Group Treasury and Finance teams on finance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA professional.
  • Relevant industry experience, preferably in FinTech, payments, or another regulated financial services setting.
  • Strong understanding of Central Bank of Ireland reporting and safeguarding obligations.
  • Comfort working with data and using it to solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to turn complex regulatory information into clear, practical insight for senior leaders, including the PCF 11.
  • A naturally inquisitive mindset with a focus on improving systems and processes.

Work style

The company follows an office-first model and expects employees to be in the office at least 4 days per week. It believes the best collaboration happens in person and provides different office spaces for focused work, teamwork, and informal conversations.

Values

Dojo looks for people who are curious, relentless, and customer-obsessed. These values are central to how the company works and how it builds products and teams.

Diversity and inclusion

The company aims to build teams that reflect the diversity of the businesses it serves. It also encourages candidates to share any adjustments they may need during the recruitment process so they can perform at their best.
