Role overview
The Finance Manager / Finance Director will steer the company’s financial direction, making sure planning, analysis, and controls support stable growth and efficient operations. The position is centered on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and turning financial data into practical guidance for leadership.
Core responsibilities
This role is expected to build and maintain financial plans, annual budgets, and long-range forecasts that are aligned with business objectives. It will also review financial performance, produce management reporting, and track important financial measures to aid strategic and operational decisions.
The position covers detailed financial analysis such as profitability assessment, cost management, cash flow oversight, capital allocation, and investment appraisal. It also involves spotting financial risks and opportunities, suggesting corrective measures, and supporting initiatives that improve financial productivity and overall business results.
Governance, controls, and compliance
The role includes ensuring sound financial governance, maintaining internal controls, and meeting accounting standards as well as regulatory obligations. It will coordinate audits, protect the integrity of financial systems, and drive process improvements that strengthen accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder collaboration and transformation
Close cooperation with executive leaders, department heads, and external stakeholders is part of the job to keep financial strategy aligned with organizational priorities. The role may also contribute to finance transformation work such as automation, system enhancements, and upgrades to reporting processes.
Qualifications
Strong expertise is needed in corporate finance, financial management, accounting principles, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate should be able to design and execute finance strategies that support sustainable business growth.
Hands-on capability with financial modeling, spreadsheet software, ERP platforms, reporting tools, and business intelligence systems is required. Experience in finance system implementation and process optimization is considered an advantage.
A solid grasp of cash flow control, capital budgeting, investment analysis, internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance is important. The role also calls for excellent analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving, clear communication, leadership, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex financial information effectively.
