Job description

Purpose of the Role

The Finance Manager will provide comprehensive financial leadership for the family office and its investments, ensuring robust financial management, governance, and reporting. Collaborating closely with the CEO and the investment team, the role is crucial to supporting strategic decision-making and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow and liquidity oversight.
  • Establish and uphold financial controls and reporting frameworks.
  • Supervise financial reporting across the family office and related entities.
  • Support evaluation and analysis of investment opportunities with detailed financial modelling and valuation.
  • Assist with acquisitions, disposals, and strategic projects to facilitate growth.
  • Monitor the financial performance of portfolio investments continuously.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, contributing to strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with banks, auditors, and external consultants.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Current experience in Qatar's financial environment.
  • Well-established professional network within Qatar.
  • Qualified Accountant such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • 10 to 17 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven background in financial leadership roles.
  • Hands-on experience with investments and transaction processes.
  • Strong competency in financial modelling and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience in supporting acquisitions, investments, or strategic initiatives.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous involvement in family office financial management.
  • Exposure to real estate investment sectors.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Background working with startup or growing companies.
  • Expertise in treasury and capital management functions.
  • Direct experience collaborating with shareholders, founders, or principals.
