Job description

About the Role

AG&P LNG is engaged in the development, ownership, and operation of LNG infrastructure across various regions, including the UAE. As the company prepares for significant growth and potential public listing, they seek a Finance Manager based in Dubai. This role extends beyond typical financial management; it involves ensuring full compliance with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT laws, timely delivery of audited financial statements, and fortifying reporting and control processes to meet IPO standards. Close collaboration with global finance teams, auditors, and tax professionals is essential to elevate the finance function to a level befitting a publicly listed company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee complete finance and accounting activities for the Dubai entity, including accounts payable and receivable, billing, collections, and general ledger management.
  • Lead monthly financial closing processes, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow oversight.
  • Track financial performance metrics, working capital, and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Ensure accuracy in invoicing, prompt collections, and effective vendor relationships.
  • Develop and refine finance policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with global standards.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of annual audited financial statements per IFRS, coordinating with external auditors to meet deadlines without surprises.
  • Maintain year-round audit-ready records, including reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and group reporting requirements with the global finance team.
  • Handle relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Ensure complete compliance with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT obligations, including registrations, filings, and payments.
  • Liaise with the Federal Tax Authority and tax consultants on compliance and audit matters.
  • Maintain thorough tax documentation, including transfer pricing and related-party agreements, adhering to UAE regulations.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and adjust processes accordingly to maintain compliance.
  • Lead the finance component of the company’s IPO readiness program by identifying gaps and implementing improvements for a public listing.
  • Enhance the consistency, speed, and quality of financial reporting to meet market disclosure standards.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls with clear ownership and documentation to withstand auditor and regulator examination.
  • Support due diligence, prospectus development, and provide detailed financial analyses as required.
  • Create and manage an organized data room encompassing financial statements, tax filings, contracts, and supporting documents.
  • Establish governance and reporting protocols aligned with public company expectations, including swift closes and board-level reporting.
  • Contribute to ERP/SAP implementation by providing finance process insights and system requirements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to finance procedures, controls, and efficiency.
  • Support business growth through financial modeling, feasibility studies, and commercial evaluations.
  • Assist with internal audits, compliance efforts, and ongoing process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with international finance teams to standardize processes and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA, or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting, ideally within LNG, energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive sectors; experience with a Big Four audit firm is highly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IFRS with practical experience in preparing audited financial statements and managing external audits.
  • Expertise in UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance, including interaction with the Federal Tax Authority and associated documentation requirements.
  • Prior involvement in IPO preparation, capital markets transactions, or related readiness initiatives is highly advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in month-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a history of cooperation across global teams and external advisors.
