Field Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking to hire a Manpower Field Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our workforce deployed at client facilities in Sriperumbudur and Irungattukottai. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position ensures smooth daily operations by managing manpower deployment, monitoring productivity, enforcing client standards and safety protocols, and maintaining attendance records.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage shift operations, monitor daily attendance, and ensure all workstations meet client production staffing requirements.
• Accurately track attendance, leaves, and shift data using internal systems and prepare daily reports on manpower strength and shift performance for client and internal teams.
• Quickly address absenteeism, staff shortages, and emergency leaves by collaborating with recruitment to provide replacements.
• Conduct regular on-site supervision on the shop floor to monitor worker discipline, performance, and adherence to company and client policies.
• Handle grievances and questions from contract staff and trainees efficiently to minimize disruptions in production.
• Support the induction and training process for new hires to ensure clear understanding of tasks, safety measures, and workplace conduct.
• Maintain professional relationships with client supervisors and human resources departments.
• Enforce compliance with client safety standards, proper use of personal protective equipment, and site operational rules.
• Identify employee performance issues and provide prompt feedback or coaching at the worksite to improve productivity.

Qualifications & Skills

• One to three years experience in shop floor supervision, manpower management, or similar roles such as Shift or HR Supervisor within manufacturing, logistics, or facility management.
• Diploma or graduate degree preferred; equivalent industrial experience considered.
• Proficient in local language communication with various worker groups and factory management.
• Competent in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word, for reporting requirements.
• Ability to interpret and manage shift schedules and production plans effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with flexibility for variable business demands and rotational shift work.
• Proactive mindset, discipline, and willingness to work actively on the shop floor environment instead of a traditional office setting.

Compensation

The position offers a monthly salary between 15,000 and 28,000 Indian Rupees.

Additional Information

The role requires supervision at client sites located in Sriperumbudur or Irungattukottai areas and necessitates strong coordination between the client and Randeons Services. Candidates must possess at least two years of relevant experience to be considered for this position.
