Job description
Position Overview
The Field Service Engineer's primary responsibility is to manage the repair, servicing, and commissioning of MDTotco products, focusing on hands-on maintenance to guarantee equipment's smooth functioning. This role involves client training, swift response to service calls, and strict compliance with health and safety standards set by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installations, system upgrades, and product repairs related to MDTotco equipment.
- Maintain and monitor daily operations to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily activity reports with accurate documentation.
- Test, clean, and repair components or systems to maintain high equipment readiness.
- Provide practical training on equipment usage and maintenance to clients.
- Respond efficiently and safely to client requests and service calls.
- Adhere strictly to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
- Interpret instrumentation drawings accurately for proper cable and electrical connections.
- Operate both independently and collaboratively within team settings, showing adaptability.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry developments and best practices in field service engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- Fundamental networking skills alongside proficiency in reading electrical connection diagrams.
- Strong background in instrumentation with completed coursework in basic electricity and electronics emphasizing safety.
- Willingness and capability to travel internationally as required for work assignments.
- Self-driven with the capacity to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for client engagement.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a high-paced work environment.
