About the Role
Noble is dedicated to supporting national defense readiness through a widespread team and an extensive range of contract vehicles and products. This role focuses on providing tailored sales solutions to Army-related agencies across the Northeast, emphasizing client relationship management and strategic sales to overcome daily procurement challenges.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Surpass set quarterly and annual revenue as well as profit targets.
- Forge and nurture connections with customers and vendors, exploring new market opportunities within the designated territories.
- Maintain and communicate a weekly sales pipeline including opportunities, quotations, and orders.
- Collaborate with clients to determine specifications for future bids and contracting needs for company-provided equipment and services.
- Travel regularly for client meetings, industry events, and vendor cooperation rides to develop business prospects.
- Gather and relay competitive market and customer intelligence to inform company strategies.
- Offer pricing quotes and establish credit terms, warranties, and delivery timelines fitting customer needs.
- Utilize company CRM and ERP tools to process quotations and orders efficiently.
- Support inside sales team with data entry, quote generation, and identification of funding opportunities.
- Recommend product lines based on customer needs and interests.
- Perform administrative tasks such as sales record keeping, report preparation, and expense documentation within corporate deadlines.
- Collaborate with customer professionals for product development and improvement initiatives.
- Promptly and accurately handle customer quotes received through various channels.
- Formulate marketing approaches to generate new sales leads within current regions.
- Implement a combined internal and external team strategy regarding sales, territory management, vendor relationships, and dealer representation.
- Communicate effectively with management, partners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Take full ownership of all sales process aspects.
- Maintain a detailed calendar tracking client interactions, travel, and sales pipelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong familiarity with government sales processes and federal contracting requirements.
- Experience collaborating with the Department of Defense, military branches, federal agencies, or law enforcement entities.
- Ability to manage deadlines independently and conduct effective negotiations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license essential.
- Capacity to obtain necessary security clearance if needed.
- Bachelor's degree plus three years of sales experience or alternatively five years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Office Suites; familiarity with Salesforce and ERP systems such as NetSuite is advantageous.
Physical and Work Environment
- Work occurs primarily in typical office environments as well as at diverse customer sites; home office setup used for administrative duties.
