Role overview
This position is focused on driving education-sector sales and adoption for Google’s learning and productivity offerings. You will work with institutions, partners, and internal teams to build demand, support deployments, and help customers realize measurable value from Gemini, Chromebook, Google Workspace for Education, and Google Classroom.
Preferred work location
Applicants can indicate a preferred location from Bengaluru, Karnataka; Gurugram, Haryana; or Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or comparable hands-on professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in technology sales or in a customer-facing sales position.
- Proven ability to present to, and develop relationships with, different stakeholders in academic institutions or enterprise environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar transformative technologies.
- Experience helping customers adopt new technology and manage change.
- Background in go-to-market execution with a track record of meeting or surpassing targets.
- Working knowledge of the higher education sector, including its decision-making dynamics and sector-specific challenges.
- Strong analytical, communication, and discussion skills, plus the ability to work well with a broad mix of internal and external partners.
What the role involves
You will own sales activity across a territory, building awareness among key decision-makers about the value of Google’s education products and services. The role includes developing territory plans, supporting the national rollout of Google Workspace for Education and Google Classroom, expanding the partner ecosystem, and guiding resellers on how to communicate with boards of education. You will also manage inbound leads, help keep pipeline activity fresh through lead redistribution, and take ownership of customer engagements as part of the territory GTM effort.
