About the Role

This is a full-time field sales position within the Sales & Business Development function in Surat. The role is for a Business Development Executive focused on growing business in the construction ecosystem for Conkart, a B2B2C marketplace serving construction professionals, suppliers, and service providers.

Conkart operates as a marketplace designed for the construction industry, bringing together buyers, sellers, and service providers on one platform. It supports procurement, networking, and access to industry insights while helping users streamline operations, lower costs, and expand their business reach.

Role Summary

The selected candidate will work on field-based business development across assigned territories. The job includes building dealer and contractor networks, bringing new buyers and sellers onto the platform, and strengthening Conkart's footprint in the construction market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to contractors, builders, developers, architects, interior designers, dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, and construction sites to create new business leads.
  • Onboard new buyers onto the Conkart platform.
  • Identify and register dealers, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers as sellers.
  • Demonstrate the digital procurement platform and clearly explain how it helps customers achieve business value.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Handle the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, follow-ups, negotiations, and final closure.
  • Work toward monthly goals for sales, onboarding, and orders.
  • Keep in touch with prospects consistently to improve conversion rates.
  • Gather market trends, customer inputs, and competitor information to aid business expansion.
  • Record daily visit details, sales activity, and lead progress in CRM or other reporting tools.

Candidate Profile

The company is seeking a self-driven, energetic, and target-focused professional with strong relationship-building ability. The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging with business decision-makers in the construction sector and capable of converting opportunities into revenue through persistent follow-up and independent execution.

Experience and Background

Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in field sales, B2B sales, direct sales, or client acquisition. Prior exposure to construction materials, building products, banking, e-commerce, or marketplace businesses will be considered useful. Local market familiarity will be an advantage.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in field sales, B2B selling, direct sales, or client acquisition.
  • Ability to prospect, negotiate, build relationships, and close deals without close supervision.
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable dealing with contractors, builders, architects, dealers, and similar stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and focused on exceeding sales targets.
  • Consistent follow-up habits and the ability to convert leads into business.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
  • Ownership of a two-wheeler and a valid driving licence is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The offered CTC is up to 5 LPA, along with attractive performance-based incentives and a petrol allowance.
