Position Overview

This role is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, offering an annual salary of $74,960.21 along with comprehensive state employee benefits. The job requires significant travel and mandates possession of a valid driver's license along with maintaining required vehicle insurance.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral science, counseling, business, or public administration, accompanied by seven years of professional experience in social work or social services administration and an additional four years in supervisory, managerial, or administrative roles.
  • Alternatively, candidates may present an equivalent mix of education and experience, with an extra year of relevant experience substituting for one year of education and a minimum of three years in supervisory or managerial positions.
  • Experience in supervisory, managerial, or administrative capacity is mandatory and substitution for this requirement is not allowed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee Adult Protective Services (APS) operations within the assigned district, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Supervise APS supervisors and staff, managing recruitment, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, and enforcing compliance with policies and ethical standards.
  • Enhance professional growth, promote employee well-being, and deliver coaching and mentorship to encourage effective casework.
  • Guarantee the quality and efficacy of case investigations and service plans by monitoring compliance with APS policies and best practices.
  • Analyze case trends and implement changes to ensure timely and proper interventions for vulnerable adults.
  • Work collaboratively with community partners, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to improve service coordination and advocacy.
  • Interpret and enforce APS policies and legislative requirements, staying updated on policy changes and instituting modifications or corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Manage data and reporting, monitoring district performance metrics to detect trends and aid in decision-making.
  • Prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders to document APS casework accurately and promptly.
  • Efficiently manage district resources, advocate for adequate funding and staffing, and maintain fiscal responsibility to meet APS demands.
