Job description

About the Role

As the Field Manager for Nimaya Foundation's GenAI Ready Naari Program based in Guwahati, you will be a pivotal force driving a transformative initiative that empowers young women from underprivileged communities by introducing them to AI and future-ready job skills. This role blends active fieldwork with occasional remote work, focusing on managing the entire learner journey and ensuring high-impact delivery of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end execution of the GenAI Ready Naari program on the ground in Guwahati.
  • Handle learner processes including engagement, onboarding, tracking attendance, and monitoring progress throughout the program.
  • Coordinate efficiently with trainers, program staff, and local stakeholders to facilitate smooth training delivery and placements.
  • Maintain and update program data, documentation, and operational trackers to ensure organized records.
  • Support placement activities, gather learner feedback, and assist in impact measurement and reporting.

About Nimaya Foundation

Nimaya Foundation, founded in 2021 by Navya Nanda and Samyak Chakrabarty, focuses on equipping young women facing socioeconomic challenges with skills to thrive in an evolving AI-driven job market. In partnership with organizations such as the Government of India's Yuva AI mission and Ashoka University's Centre for Social and Behaviour Change, Nimaya has reached over 10,000 participants across five states through its flagship GenAI Ready Naari program.

About the GenAI Ready Naari Program

This program provides 40 hours of immersive learning—32 hours in-person and 8 hours online—covering areas such as chatbot creation, AI-powered research, creative problem-solving, presentation skills, collaboration, and mentorship through real projects. The curriculum aims to empower learners to confidently work alongside AI technologies rather than feel threatened by them.

Project Outlook

  • Over the next two years, the program aims to upskill 1500 young women in Ahmedabad and Guwahati.
  • Expand AI exposure into regions lacking access.
  • Deliver meaningful outcomes and ensure placement beyond merely certification.

Desired Profile

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in operations, field execution, or project management.
  • Advanced skills with Excel and Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting.
  • Experience managing compliance, documentation, and structured reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi; knowledge of Assamese is advantageous.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally within Guwahati.
  • Reside in Guwahati is mandatory.
  • A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail combined with big picture thinking and a passion for empowering young women.

Additional Information

The role is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement, primarily requiring field presence in Guwahati.
