Role Overview

A well-established hospitality and restaurant group in Qatar is looking for a seasoned F&B & Catering Sales Manager with strong industry connections. The role is focused on growing business development, expanding catering sales, handling government tenders, and bringing in strategic clients.

This position will support the growth of catering operations, banquet business, corporate accounts, and event services. The manager will also help build durable partnerships with government bodies, private companies, educational institutions, and event management firms.

Business Development and Sales

  • Create and implement sales plans that boost revenue from catering, banquets, and hospitality services.
  • Track down and convert new opportunities across government, semi-government, corporate, education, and private sectors.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers in ministries, public bodies, companies, schools, universities, and event companies.
  • Develop a steady flow of catering, hospitality, and event leads.
  • Handle commercial discussions and close agreements with clients.
  • Consistently meet and surpass monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.

Government Tenders and Contracts

  • Research and follow relevant tender opportunities from government and semi-government entities.
  • Take charge of preparing, submitting, and tracking catering and hospitality tenders.
  • Work with internal teams to meet tender criteria and submit everything before the deadline.
  • Oversee tender files, pricing documents, commercial offers, and contract negotiations.
  • Improve the company’s chances of winning more tender bids.

Catering and Events Growth

  • Increase sales for outdoor catering, conferences, exhibitions, VIP functions, weddings, social events, and corporate gatherings.
  • Market banquet and event services for a venue that can host up to 250 guests.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to deliver smooth event execution and strong client experience.
  • Design tailored catering packages for corporate and government clients.

Partnership Development

  • Form strategic alliances with event agencies, wedding planners, conference organisers, and corporate service providers.
  • Develop preferred supplier relationships with large organisations and institutions.
  • Represent the business at networking functions, exhibitions, and industry events.

Leadership and Reporting

  • Contribute to building and shaping a dedicated sales team.
  • Set KPIs, forecasting methods, and client management processes.
  • Prepare recurring reports on pipeline progress, conversion rates, sales results, and market opportunities.
  • Share market insights and competitor analysis with senior leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 7 to 10 years of experience in hospitality, catering, F&B sales, business development, or corporate sales.
  • Prior work experience in the Qatar market is essential.
  • Strong history of securing government tenders and contracts.
  • A well-established network with government bodies, companies, educational institutions, and event organisers in Qatar.
  • Solid understanding of catering operations, banquet sales, and hospitality services.
  • Experience with commercial proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, presentations, and relationship management.
  • Good commercial judgment and a clear ability to drive revenue.
  • Arabic and English fluency is mandatory.
  • A valid Qatar driving licence is preferred.
