Their collections are conceived internally and sold through flagship stores around Australia as well as a global online platform.
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and technically adept Fashion Designer to become an integral part of our expanding design team. This role involves collaborating closely with the in-house creative group to create seasonal collections, guiding concepts through to production. The successful candidate will translate creative inspirations into elevated, wearable garments that embody the BNAH brand identity and connect with our clientele.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Develop seasonal fashion collections from initial concept to final production in partnership with the internal creative team.
- Create original designs that clearly represent the brand's aesthetic, paying particular attention to silhouette, colour, and trends.
- Produce detailed sketches, technical packs, and design specifications using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of garment construction, textiles, pattern making, and production processes.
- Assess garment fit and provide precise feedback throughout sampling and final approval stages.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high levels of organization and independence.
- Collaborate effectively with production teams, tailors, and suppliers, presenting ideas clearly and responding constructively to feedback.
- Maintain awareness of current fashion trends, sourcing, costing, and manufacturing workflows.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of professional experience within fashion design or product development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of garment fit, balance, and proportion.
- Ability to develop and interpret tech packs and detailed design documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude.
- Capability to work independently, especially in a part-time capacity if required.
