Facilities Engineer - General Services

Role Overview

We seek a Facilities Engineer responsible for overseeing and ensuring the optimal technical functioning, maintenance, and reliability of facilities at designated locations. This includes managing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and building systems, scheduling both planned and reactive maintenance, conducting technical assessments, overseeing refurbishment needs, and evaluating contractor performance—all while ensuring compliance with contractual, safety, quality, and client standards.

Key Duties

• Oversee maintenance and technical operations of facilities such as hangars, warehouses, shelters, and administrative premises.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage MEP and building systems including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, firefighting equipment, generators, UPS, and compressors.
• Develop, review, and supervise Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules alongside reactive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct on-site inspections and assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical documentation, blueprints, specifications, and renovation requirements.
• Track facility performance, ensure service levels meet contractual KPIs in coordination with customer expectations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments to address facility-related requirements and resolve technical challenges.
• Support planning and evaluation of projects, monitor maintenance and refurbishment activities.
• Guarantee that facilities meet relevant technical standards, government regulations, safety protocols, and established industry best practices.
• Promptly respond to urgent operational facility issues to facilitate timely resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related engineering field.
• At least 5 years' experience in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, MEP systems, or building maintenance.
• Preferably experienced in managing large-scale facilities like hangars, warehouses, industrial sites, aviation or defense environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting).
• Proficient in handling planned preventive and reactive maintenance along with troubleshooting technical facilities issues.
• Experienced in site surveys, scopes of work (SOW), Bills of Quantities, technical drawings, specifications, and refurbishment projects.
• Skilled at coordination with FM contractors, vendors, and technical teams.
• Familiarity with asset condition assessments, lifecycle maintenance planning, and optimizing maintenance costs is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and ERP or maintenance management software.
• Strong capabilities in customer relations, technical problem solving, and effective communication in English.
