Job description
About the Role
Magpie & Stump is looking for an Expo/Food Runner to join the team in Banff. The venue offers a lively Banff dining experience inspired by Mexican food and drinks, with tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and a large selection of tequilas. During the summer, service extends to El Patio, the rooftop taco bar known for open-air evening events, margaritas, and cervezas under the Banff sky.
What the Role Involves
This position focuses on ensuring dishes are delivered accurately, attractively, and on time to guests. When not bussing tables, you will also help with polishing glassware and cutlery, along with other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a flexible schedule, a solid work ethic, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. You should be comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment and able to remain on your feet for an entire shift. Previous front-of-house experience is helpful but not required.
Perks and Benefits
This role comes with a range of team benefits, including the chance to live, work, and enjoy Banff National Park, strong earning potential, staff discounts such as 25% off food at all BHC venues, social staff events, growth opportunities across distinctive venues, access to health benefits after 6 months, a company culture that encourages outdoor activity and community involvement, and possible subsidized staff accommodation.
Additional Information
Banff Hospitality Collective is committed to equal opportunity hiring and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets. If you need an accommodation during the hiring process, you should let the team know in advance when responding to the interview invitation. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
