Job description
Role Overview
The Expert Talent Management professional plays a critical role in executing talent management and succession planning initiatives from start to finish. This position serves as an important operational anchor, handling coordination of talent review processes, monitoring succession pipelines, crafting customized development plans, and utilizing talent analytics ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational aspects of Talent Reviews which include annual scheduling, preparation of session materials such as talent cards, managing timelines and stakeholder follow-ups.
- Support the enhancement and continuous refinement of the talent management framework based on evolving business needs.
- Assist in arranging and leading talent review meetings, calibration discussions, and mapping talent across functions.
- Keep updated records of succession pools, critical roles, and readiness trackers to provide accurate and current data on talent pipelines.
- Work closely with HR Business Partners throughout the talent review process.
- Create Individual Development Plans for talent in succession pools and critical roles, ensuring agreed-upon actions are completed.
- Manage talent placements and facilitate internal movements among employees.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database housing key information about all JazzWorld talent for efficient talent management.
- Lead detailed planning and coordination of talent and succession efforts including managing budgets, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate logistics for talent review cycles, calibration meetings, and assessments across departments and locations.
- Act as a liaison between the Talent Center of Excellence and business stakeholders.
- Administer vendor and partner relationships related to assessments, facilitators, and platform providers, including contract management and invoicing support.
- Create and maintain detailed dashboards and reports reflecting key talent metrics such as succession bench strength and completion rates of development plans.
- Provide support for special talent programs like mentoring, coaching, and high-potential acceleration tracks.
- Ensure all talent activities comply with company policies, governance practices, and corporate values.
Expected Deliverables
- Flawless execution of Talent Reviews and Succession Planning processes.
- Timely and on-budget delivery of talent programs, including management of vendors and logistics.
- Up-to-date talent dashboards providing transparency on succession status.
- High rates of completion and monitoring of Individual Development Plans for high-potential talent.
- Comprehensive evaluations of programs including participant feedback and actionable recommendations.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-dimensional HR programs with strong organization and attention to detail.
- Comfortable owning full operational responsibilities such as budgeting, vendor handling, scheduling, and logistics related to talent initiatives.
- Capable of analyzing talent data, maintaining trackers, and creating clear data visualizations and management reports.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams, managing vendors, and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Technical proficiency with HR analytics tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and experience incorporating AI into workflows.
- Adaptability to tight deadlines and shifting priorities, demonstrating a proactive approach to operational tasks.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree such as MBA or MS in HR or Organizational Development is advantageous.
- A minimum of five years' relevant experience in Talent Management or Learning & Development within a Center of Excellence environment.
- Experience coordinating talent review sessions and building analytics systems.
