Role Overview
The Executive Assistant to the CEO provides strategic, analytical, and operational assistance to the CEO by supporting business planning, budgeting, performance tracking, capital expenditure evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration. This role serves as an extension of the CEO’s office to facilitate effective implementation of business initiatives, timely decisions, and prioritization of organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with business and functional leaders for annual planning and budgeting cycles.
- Consolidate and analyze revenue forecasts from various departments against historical and market data.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for growth, productivity enhancement, and cost savings.
- Support preparation and presentation of annual operating and strategic business plans for CEO review.
- Collaborate with project and functional leaders to scrutinize capital expenditure proposals from financial, strategic, and business viewpoints.
- Verify that Capex proposals comprehensively outline business rationale, risk factors, benefits, financial returns, payback, and alternatives.
- Help teams develop solid business cases and presentation materials for leadership approvals; manage approval processes and documentation.
- Monitor and analyze business and operational performance; identify trends and issues requiring CEO attention.
- Engage with functional heads to understand key drivers and challenges; prepare dashboards, insights, and reports for leadership meetings.
- Track progress of strategic and key business projects; ensure action items from leadership reviews are followed up and implemented on schedule.
- Escalate project risks, delays, or obstacles to leadership as needed; promote accountability and timeline adherence.
- Oversee periodic reviews of Capex implementation, tracking milestones, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Report deviations from plan, assess benefits achieved from completed projects, and recommend corrective measures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business, finance, and projects to maintain communication and drive execution.
- Produce executive summaries, presentations, and management reports to aid CEO-stakeholder coordination.
- Ensure timely completion of CEO office deliverables and follow-ups.
Qualifications and Experience
- MBA or PGDM degree specializing in Finance, Strategy, Operations, or Business Management from a reputed institute.
- 10 to 12 years of professional experience in CEO office roles, executive assistance to senior leadership, business finance, corporate strategy, business planning, PMO, or consulting.
- Prior exposure to sectors such as retail, fashion, lifestyle, consumer goods, FMCG, or manufacturing is preferred.
