About the Role

As the Assistant Manager for Events and Private Dining aboard the British Pullman, a prestigious Belmond train, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering an exceptional guest experience. Your responsibilities include administrative, operational, and secretarial support aligned with luxury service standards, ensuring flawless delivery for private dining guests. Reporting directly to the Events & Guest Experience Manager, this position offers an exciting challenge for someone with a passion for luxury travel and storytelling.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main liaison for private dining and event inquiries, managing client interactions from initial contact through to post-event communications, while coordinating bookings and preparing detailed proposals.
  • Oversee comprehensive planning and execution of private dining, group bookings, charters, and bespoke events, ensuring all operational and guest requirements meet the highest quality benchmarks.
  • Support commercial and administrative event functions including contract management, invoicing, forecasting, reporting, operational coordination, and stepping in for the Events & Guest Experience Manager as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to communicate event needs, handle logistics, comply with operational and brand standards, and drive continuous improvements based on feedback.
  • Promote the Celia private dining brand by utilizing in-depth product knowledge, conducting client presentations, facilitating site visits, and identifying opportunities to enhance guest experience and revenue.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in similar roles within luxury hospitality, private client management, or bespoke events.
  • Proven skills in relationship management, front office management, or hospitality duty management.
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Management, Business Studies, or equivalent practical experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience or knowledge of luxury rail operations or unique private dining settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with diverse internal departments such as onboard staff, sales, and culinary teams, as well as external partners.
  • Exemplary communication, organizational, and administrative capabilities.
