This opening is for a proactive, highly organised Event Assistant who can help deliver smooth live and virtual events across a varied client portfolio.
Role Summary
You will partner with Event Directors and Event Managers throughout the full event lifecycle, from early planning through delivery and post-event wrap-up. This position suits someone who enjoys a fast-moving environment and can manage several workstreams at once.
Key Duties
- Help organise event logistics, including travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Research and source venues while coordinating with suppliers.
- Keep project records up to date and handle administrative follow-up.
- Support communication with clients and manage delegate-related tasks.
- Track budgets, process expenses, and maintain accurate financial logs.
- Review, format, and proofread documents and presentation materials.
- Prepare onsite event materials such as documentation, kit boxes, and badges.
- Assist during live events with setup, session support, and issue resolution.
- Produce content such as case studies, newsletters, and social media material where needed.
- Update social channels and the company website, depending on your experience.
What the Employer Wants
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in events or another demanding, fast-paced setting. You should be highly organised, comfortable with administration, and able to communicate clearly and professionally.
The role calls for someone who stays composed under pressure, pays close attention to detail, can handle multiple priorities, and has experience working with customers. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Drive is expected.
Experience using Asana, Slack, or Microsoft Teams would be an advantage, though training can be provided.
Working Pattern and Offer
This is a part-time remote role based in the UK, with a salary of £23,000 per year calculated on a 30-hour working week. Statutory paid annual leave is included.
The start date is flexible, with a target commencement at the end of September 2026.
Application Details
Applicants should email a CV and a one-page covering letter, written in their own words, explaining why they are the right fit for the role. Applications should be sent to Hannah and Nicola at the email addresses provided in the source listing.
The deadline for applications is Friday 31 July 2026. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and the employer may close the role early if a large number of applications are received. Shortlisted candidates are expected to be invited for interviews in August or September 2026, subject to holiday schedules.
