Job description

Role overview

Join a global Ethics Office focused on protecting integrity, reinforcing the Code of Conduct, and creating a culture where employees feel safe raising concerns. The team works proactively to spot broader risks, improve ethical safeguards, and support a transparent, accountable workplace.

What you will do

In this role, you will independently lead fair, detailed, and empathetic investigations into possible Code of Conduct violations such as bullying, harassment, retaliation, discrimination, and other ethics-related issues. You will help determine appropriate discipline and remediation when allegations are substantiated, making sure actions are consistent with policy, due process, and company values.

You will also analyze investigation outcomes to identify patterns, root causes, and areas where policies, processes, or training can be improved. In addition, you will contribute to ethics communications and awareness efforts that help prevent misconduct and strengthen ethical decision-making across the organization. You will partner closely with HR, Legal, and other teams to resolve cases and continuously improve the compliance program and workplace culture.

Core responsibilities

  • Own the full investigation lifecycle, including intake, case planning, evidence review, and final reporting.
  • Handle every matter with strict confidentiality, neutrality, and respect for privacy.
  • Identify recurring issues and underlying weaknesses in controls, policies, or processes.
  • Recommend and support improvements to investigation procedures, standards, and templates.
  • Provide guidance on compliance topics to internal partners, including senior leaders.
  • Help design and deliver ethics training, reference materials, and internal communications.
  • Work in coordination with HR, Employee Relations, Legal, business teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for employees using speak-up channels and the investigation process.
  • Apply procedural fairness consistently in all case-related interactions.
  • Contribute to cross-functional policy and process improvement initiatives.

Required experience and capabilities

You should bring at least 5 years of experience leading workplace investigations, ideally in Ethics & Compliance, Employee Relations, Legal, HR, or a related government setting, with preference for in-house or regulatory environments. A solid grasp of workplace standards, investigation methods, procedural fairness, and case management is essential.

Experience should include internal investigations involving whistleblower allegations, fraud, and misconduct, with strong judgment in handling sensitive matters discreetly. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to simplify complex issues, and strong interpersonal and influencing skills for working across functions and global teams. The role also calls for a proactive, adaptable, hands-on approach suited to a fast-changing environment, along with the ability to explain the value of ethics and compliance policies to employees at all levels.

Preferred background

Experience in legal roles within global or regional organizations, especially in technology, is preferred. Familiarity with cross-border compliance and regulatory expectations is also an advantage, as is a strong record of managing complex internal investigations or whistleblower cases. Analytical strength and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance are highly valued.
