Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Marden is for an Estimator focused on scaffolding work. The role centers on building accurate quotations for scaffolding projects, calculating material and labour costs, and coordinating with project managers and clients to clarify scope and requirements. The estimator will also review drawings and specifications, propose practical cost-saving approaches, and keep thorough records of estimates and related project information.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare precise pricing and quotations for scaffolding assignments.
- Review and assess materials, labour, and associated project costs.
- Liaise with clients and project managers to confirm project requirements.
- Examine blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to support estimating work.
- Recommend economical solutions without compromising project needs.
- Maintain organised documentation of estimates and project details.
What We’re Looking For
- Background in estimating and budgeting, ideally within scaffolding or construction.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and detailed specifications.
- Strong analytical ability and confidence using estimating software or similar tools.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills for working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational habits for record keeping.
- Working knowledge of safety requirements and scaffolding/construction standards.
- Willingness and ability to work on site in Marden.
- Qualifications or certifications in construction, engineering, or project management would be advantageous.
