Role Overview
The estimator role involves securing construction projects by managing general inquiries, tendering for new build commercial and industrial construction projects, and preparing proposals accurately and promptly. You will be part of a dedicated team focusing on winning work in construction tendering for these sectors.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Possess a construction-related degree coupled with 3 to 5 years of experience in estimating.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for areas including concrete, structural elements, reinforcement, formwork, and early works packages.
- Demonstrate knowledge of design and construct (D&C) tender processes in healthcare, industrial, and education sectors.
- Utilize estimating and quantity surveying tools such as Buildsoft, Cubit, Estimate One, and Mudshark software effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of current subcontractor pricing in the market.
