Job description

Role summary

This position sits within the workshop and focuses on preparing accurate, timely repair estimates for body shop vehicles. The estimator supports both retail customers and insurance partners by gathering the right information, assessing damage, negotiating repair costs, and helping secure approvals so work can move ahead without delay. The role also contributes to customer trust, service quality, and the department’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out assigned tasks in line with the company’s operating standards, specifications, and expected turnaround times.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional, and service-oriented approach with customers and colleagues.
  • Work toward achieving at least an 80% approval rate for estimated vehicles.
  • Gather complete and dependable details from customers to support the assessment of damaged vehicles.
  • Prepare repair quotations and negotiate charges with customers.
  • Meet monthly targets for labour hours, parts sales, and other revenue-related items.
  • Track work in progress closely so vehicles are delivered on time and customers are reminded of their next service due date.
  • Be prepared to work longer hours when needed to support business requirements and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills and capabilities

  • Practical knowledge of automotive damage assessment and estimation.
  • Clear communication with customers and team members.
  • Strong negotiation ability to support repair approval.
  • Good coordination and follow-up skills to manage ongoing jobs and delivery timelines.

The ideal candidate can act as a dependable advisor to customers, offering current technical guidance with confidence. A positive, polished, and customer-focused personality is important, along with strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and the ability to drive. The role also calls for fluency in both English and Arabic, spoken and written.

Qualifications and experience

A diploma or degree from a technical school, or a certificate/diploma in automobile or mechanical engineering, is required. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in the automotive sector or a comparable position.
