Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estimator specializing in bespoke joinery to join our office based in Billericay. The role involves managing high-end commercial joinery projects including desks, panelling, furniture, cabinets, and surfaces. Candidates should be prepared for occasional site visits throughout the South East and London.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate tender requests to comprehend project scopes and deadlines.
- Analyze drawings to prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) ensuring timely quotation submissions meeting customer schedules.
- Maintain thorough records of tenders and quotations within the company database.
- Engage with clients to address inquiries and provide supplemental technical details.
- Build and sustain professional relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in estimating within bespoke joinery, cabinet making, bespoke furniture, or related sectors is essential.
- Familiarity with Contract Controller software is highly preferred.
- Strong technical expertise and understanding of industry procedures, materials, and cost structures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficient communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented while also capable of working independently.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary around £50,000, negotiable depending on experience.
