Job description
Role Overview
This position is for an Estimation Department Coordinator within the civil team at the head office in Dammam, reporting directly to the Estimation Manager. The role has been added to support the department due to the current workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine tender packages such as scope of work documents, drawings, specifications, contracts, and related material, then compile and submit the bid review report to the Estimation Manager so the Tender Committee can make the bid/no-bid decision.
- Attend meetings on behalf of the company, including job explanation sessions, site visits, pre-contract discussions, and post-clarification meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, governing bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a full project-wise set of estimation records, including original tender files, correspondence, job explanation minutes, clarification responses, RFQs, quotations, commercial and technical proposals, and method statements; also prepare weekly or periodic estimation reports when needed and keep departmental document registers up to date.
- Support the technical proposal engineer whenever required during technical proposal development and bid closing activities.
- Work with various client portals, including Aramco, DGL, NEOM, Etimad, and other online bidding platforms.
- Handle external communication and follow-ups with clients, while coordinating related communication with internal departments.
- Identify and source RFQs and vendors for civil scope requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying is required.
- Applicants should bring 6 to 9 years of relevant experience as a QS or Estimation Engineer.
- Prior experience in the construction sector, specifically with EPC or main contractor organizations, is essential; consultancy-only backgrounds will not be considered.
- Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
- Excellent English communication skills are required.
- Experience with high-profile clients such as NEOM, Diriyah, RCRC, Qiddiyah, Royal Commission, Ministry of Transport, and Ministry of Defense is strongly preferred.
