Job description
Position Overview
Concorde Education is offering independent contractor roles to deliver esports enrichment programs at partner schools. These assignments involve in-person teaching for elementary, middle, and high school students, typically occurring after school for 1 to 4 hours weekly over approximately 10 weeks. Opportunities are available throughout the academic year and take place on-site at various locations.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate esports sessions that foster teamwork, communication, strategic thinking, and healthy competitive gaming.
- Modify instruction to suit student skill levels, site policies, available technology, and assigned games.
- Guide students in developing game knowledge, leadership, decision-making, and competitive skills through practice, scrimmages, reviews, and tournaments as applicable.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere appropriate for the student age group.
- Liaise with Concorde Education and school personnel to report needs or concerns related to the assignment.
- Complete brief reports after each teaching session documenting progress and session details.
- Adhere to all relevant school safety protocols, visitor policies, technology use guidelines, and student protection rules.
Instructional Topics
- Team communication, collaboration, and leadership development.
- Game mechanics, strategy, positioning, and decision-making processes.
- Promotion of sportsmanship, digital citizenship, and responsible online behaviors.
- Practice routines, tournament fundamentals, and match preparation.
- Gameplay analysis, feedback delivery, and identification of improvement areas.
- Balancing healthy gaming habits with wellness and time management.
- Introduction to broadcasting, shoutcasting, streaming, or video review methods, when applicable.
- Competitive sessions using approved titles such as Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch, Apex Legends, or other age-suitable games.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits, if required by the specific site or assignment.
- Experience in coaching, competing, or managing organized esports or gaming communities.
- Proficiency in popular esports titles aligned with the program’s focus.
- Background in teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring school-age children.
- Strong abilities in communication, organization, and group facilitation.
- Availability that matches the assignment schedule and timely communication of any scheduling conflicts.
- Preferred experience with gameplay analysis, team building, tournament management, streaming, replay tools, or esports technology.
Materials and Resources
Assigned sites usually provide computers, consoles, peripherals, licensed games, curriculum guides, replay and streaming software, and other teaching materials. Contractors may supplement with their own appropriate, safe, and legal resources consistent with assignment goals and school policies. Any reimbursable purchases require prior written approval from Concorde Education.
Compensation Details
Compensation varies based on assignment scope, experience, location, and schedule, commonly starting at $50 or more per completed instructional hour with students. Contractors can propose their rate during application, which Concorde may accept, negotiate, or decline depending on assignment budgets. Payments are typically processed via direct deposit on the 15th of the month following service completion, subject to agreed terms and legal requirements.

Selected applicants may be invited to complete a contractor profile and onboarding steps. Progressing through application or onboarding does not guarantee placement or assignments. Engagement depends on assignment fit, completed onboarding, background checks, site clearances, and final confirmation from Concorde Education. Some positions may require fingerprinting, agency or site clearance, training, and compliance steps before starting.
