Overview
This full-time role based in Des Peres is dedicated to overseeing and executing the preparation and review of title, lending, and legal documents necessary to close real estate transactions. The candidate must be highly organized, detail-focused, proactive, and possess a positive attitude to effectively manage multiple projects and intricate details simultaneously. A comprehensive understanding of escrow closing requirements is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the entire escrow closing procedure.
- Precisely compute and oversee financial details related to transactions such as tax prorations, interest, payoff totals, and insurance.
- Create and manage escrow accounts accurately.
- Provide clear answers to inquiries about closing documents.
- Finalize property transactions by identifying steps, reviewing and drafting closing paperwork, and preparing accurate settlement statements.
- Demonstrate eagerness to grow professionally within the title industry.
- Maintain respectful and positive communication with customers at all times.
- Review title commitments promptly to resolve any issues before closing dates.
- Safeguard confidential customer information, adhering strictly to privacy rules and procedures.
- Support other team members with closing responsibilities when required.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Work independently as a self-motivated contributor without need for direct oversight.
- Exercise sound judgment in title-related matters to protect company interests.
- Manage and diffuse any disputes or complaints related to the closing process with tact and diplomacy.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years experience closing transactions within title or lending sectors.
- Consistent attendance and reliability in punctuality.
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
- Excellent telephone skills and capability to manage multiple incoming lines.
- Associate degree or equivalent related training and experience; bachelor’s in business management, finance, or similar preferred.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Missouri Insurance Provider License within 30 days of hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
