Job description

About the role

In Göttingen, ifas is looking for an Ergotherapeut*in to join its team on a 36-hour weekly basis, starting immediately. The role focuses on helping participants rediscover and further develop their occupational abilities through individual, practice-oriented support.

Within the therapeutic diagnostics area, you will work closely with participants during their first weeks in the program. Together with an interdisciplinary team, you will assess findings and translate them into tailored action and goal plans based on actual needs rather than fixed prescriptions.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out occupation-based work therapy aligned with the participant’s needs.
  • Support and strengthen work-related basic abilities through individually adapted guidance.
  • Lead individual sessions and group activities, such as cognitive training.
  • Support participants as they move into internal practical work areas.
  • Conduct reflection meetings and development planning discussions.
  • Teach manual techniques as well as common digital and computer-based applications.

Requirements

  • Completed training as an occupational therapist or work educator, from a vocational school, university of applied sciences, or university.
  • Open to career starters or experienced professionals; motivation is valued highly.

Perks

  • Permanent employment with a 36-hour work week starting immediately.
  • 30 days of annual leave, plus time off on 24 and 31 December.
  • Family-friendly working hours with no shift work.
  • Bicycle leasing with an employer subsidy.
  • Sports and wellness access through EGYM Wellpass.
  • Training opportunities and supervision for professional development.
  • A supportive, appreciative team environment.
