About the Role
The Operations division is a vibrant, multifaceted segment that collaborates across the firm to deliver essential banking, securities, and asset management services worldwide. It plays a crucial role in risk management and controls to safeguard the firm's assets and reputation. Operations supports all business functions by creating and managing processes and controls necessary for new product launches and trade executions.
Position Impact
We seek a dedicated professional passionate about risk management, client service, and equities markets to join our Synthetic Client Middle Office. This dynamic, fast-paced team partners closely with the Securities Division to support the expanding Equities Prime Businesses.
Team Function
The Prime Services team in Europe offers comprehensive post-execution support for all equity derivative activities related to the Synthetic Products Group (SPG). Within this, the Middle Office focuses intensively on daily front office risk and trading challenges, managing client queries, processing corporate actions, and participating in strategic firm and business infrastructure initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Proactively oversee risk and profit & loss (P&L) for all client equity derivative accounts.
- Manage trade allocations promptly, handling numerous synthetic trades and corresponding hedges across various flows, resolving any economic discrepancies.
- Address queries efficiently from a diverse range of stakeholders including clients, custodians, prime brokerage, sales, and trading desks.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations relating to trades and risk, ensuring robust business controls.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and document procedures and workflows to strengthen controls.
- Daily scrutiny of control reports to verify accurate trade booking and risk management.
- Coordinate with internal teams to guarantee prompt query resolution.

- Demonstrated excellent client service skills acquired through experience in a fast-paced operational or client service environment.
- Strong collaborative abilities for effective teamwork within local and global internal teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
