Equity Research (SRO) - Sr. Associate/ Delivery Lead

Role Overview

This position is for an equity research professional focused on the metals and mining space, supporting sell-side research and operations from Bangalore. The role is aimed at someone who can contribute to research delivery, model building, and client-facing outputs for a bulge-bracket investment banking environment.

What You Will Do

• Assist a sell-side equity analyst at a large investment bank in day-to-day research work.
• Develop financial models from the ground up, including assumptions, projections, and valuation work.
• Prepare earnings updates, earnings previews, comparable analyses, database work, and responses to client queries.
• Draft research notes ranging from short updates to longer-form reports.
• Take part in team discussions and add analytical inputs and recommendations.
• Contribute to periodic reports shared with internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Handle ad hoc assignments and other tasks as needed.
• Maintain ongoing research coverage of sector stocks.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should have an MBA, CA, or CFA qualification and 4 to 8 years of relevant experience. Prior exposure to the metals and mining sector is mandatory. A strong interest in equity markets, along with a background in equity research, is important. The role also calls for excellent analytical, writing, and communication abilities, comfort working with large datasets, and hands-on knowledge of tools such as Thomson Reuters, Datastream, and Bloomberg. Advanced Excel skills are expected. Candidates should be able to work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities effectively, and adapt working hours based on client needs.
