Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for a partner company, which will handle all applications and follow-up steps. The employer is seeking an EOR Business Operations Manager who is based in Switzerland.
The role is central to expanding and refining global Employer of Record operations in a fully distributed setup. You will help build and improve the processes that support international hiring, payroll, and workforce administration across several regions. Working across teams, you will bring together operations, product, legal, finance, and customer-facing functions to keep priorities aligned and execution on track. The position calls for strong analytical ability, project ownership, and operational design skills in a fast-moving, data-led environment. You will help strengthen systems, create scalable operating practices, and maintain high-quality delivery across complex workflows. This is suited to someone who is comfortable with uncertainty and enjoys bringing structure to evolving global operations.
Key accountabilities
- Own cross-functional operational initiatives from scoping through delivery, making sure stakeholders stay aligned and outcomes are measurable.
- Spot inefficiencies and structural gaps in EOR processes, then design improvements that increase scalability and reduce friction.
- Improve visibility and coordination between teams by managing dependencies, priorities, risks, and decision-making processes.
- Create and refine operating routines such as workflows, escalation channels, intake methods, and documentation standards.
- Review operational data and performance indicators to surface insights and recommend practical improvements.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution of shared initiatives.
- Contribute to compliance work, audit preparedness, and governance processes related to EOR operations.
- Look for ways to use AI and automation to improve operational speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support consistent delivery of projects and processes across functions and regions in a global distributed environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in business operations, program or project management, operational excellence, or a similar cross-functional role.
- Ability to drive complex and ambiguous initiatives from problem definition through implementation and impact tracking.
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and shaping outcomes without direct reporting authority.
- Hands-on familiarity with operational reporting, metrics, and data-driven tools such as spreadsheets, dashboards, or analytics platforms.
- Strong written communication skills, especially for clear and structured asynchronous collaboration.
- Proven ability to improve processes, systems, or workflows in past roles.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and operational design.
- Excellent organization, strong ownership, initiative, and the ability to prioritize well in a fast-paced setting.
- Judgment to balance speed and quality while assessing trade-offs and risk.
- Previous experience in global or distributed environments is an advantage.
Benefits
- Fully remote, globally distributed work setup with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
- Competitive pay package aligned with experience and market standards.
- Flexible working hours and an async-first culture that supports work-life balance.
- Generous paid time off and parental leave.
- Learning and development allowance to support professional growth.
- Home office setup and equipment assistance.
- Mental health and wellbeing support.
- Stock options and long-term incentive plans, depending on the role.
- The chance to contribute to meaningful global operations that shape the future of international employment.
