Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is being promoted for a partner employer, which will handle all applications and the subsequent hiring steps. The hiring company is seeking an EOR Business Operations Manager in the United Kingdom.

The role is central to expanding and refining global Employer of Record (EOR) operations within a fully distributed business. You will help shape and improve end-to-end processes that support international hiring, payroll, and workforce administration across several regions. As a cross-functional partner, you will work closely with operations, product, legal, finance, and client-facing teams to improve alignment, clarity, and delivery. The job calls for strong analytical judgment, project leadership, and operational design capability in a fast-moving, metrics-led setting. Your focus will be on strengthening systems, creating scalable operating routines, and supporting consistent quality across complex workflows. This position suits someone who is comfortable working through uncertainty and enjoys bringing order to global, rapidly changing operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Own cross-functional operations projects from scope definition through implementation, making sure teams stay aligned and outcomes are clearly measured.
  • Spot bottlenecks and structural gaps in EOR processes, then design improvements that can scale and reduce operational friction.
  • Increase transparency across teams by coordinating priorities, dependencies, risks, and decision-making methods.
  • Build and refine operating practices such as workflows, escalation routes, intake procedures, and documentation rules.
  • Review operational data and performance indicators to draw conclusions and propose practical improvements.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Operations to keep cross-functional initiatives moving smoothly.
  • Contribute to compliance, audit preparedness, and governance work tied to EOR operations.
  • Look for ways to use AI and automation to improve speed, accuracy, and scale.
  • Help ensure initiatives are executed consistently across regions and business functions in a distributed environment.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in business operations, program or project management, operational excellence, or a related cross-functional role.
  • Ability to handle complex and ambiguous projects from problem framing through delivery and impact tracking.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and influencing decisions without direct reporting authority.
  • Comfort using operational metrics, reporting tools, and data-based decision-making methods such as spreadsheets, dashboards, or analytics platforms.
  • Strong written communication skills, with an advantage for clear and structured async collaboration.
  • Proven track record of improving processes, systems, or workflows in previous positions.
  • Willingness to use AI tools to support productivity, analysis, and operational design.
  • Excellent organization, initiative, ownership, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to weigh speed against quality and make sound calls on trade-offs and risk.
  • Experience in global or distributed organizations is a strong plus.

Perks and benefits

  • Fully remote, globally oriented work setup with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Competitive pay aligned with experience and market standards.
  • Flexible schedule and an async-first culture that supports work-life balance.
  • Generous paid leave, including parental leave policies.
  • Learning and development support to encourage growth.
  • Home office setup and equipment assistance.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support resources.
  • Stock options and long-term incentive plans, depending on the role.
  • Chance to contribute to high-impact global operations shaping international employment.
