Job description
Role Overview
West Fraser’s Pacific Inland Resources Division in Smithers, British Columbia is hiring for a full-time entry-level production position. This role sits within the production team and reports to the department supervisor.
Key Duties
- Support production activities across different areas of the mill, including sorting, stacking, and piling lumber.
- Move and lift materials as part of day-to-day operations.
- Operate production machinery and equipment when assigned.
- Work alongside processing staff to keep operations running smoothly.
- Help with routine cleaning and maintenance of sawmill equipment, and escalate any equipment issues or breakdowns promptly.
- Carry out other general labour tasks as required.
- Perform repetitive work and remain on your feet for long periods.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, including lock-out practices, pre-job hazard checks, and proper use of PPE.

Compensation
