Job description
Role overview
Rivermate, part of Hightekers Group, is hiring a Junior Legal Operations Specialist to support remote operations from Mauritius. Hightekers Group delivers workforce management solutions across EMEIA, APAC, and LATAM through two brands: Hightekers and Rivermate. This role sits within Rivermate, the Employer of Record brand that helps companies hire, employ, and pay teams in more than 180 countries without setting up local entities.
The team is growing quickly, and this position will play an important part in supporting business operations across the EMEA region. The work is centered on delivering accurate, reliable contracting support for professionals working across borders, with a focus on trust, precision, and smooth legal operations rather than routine administration alone.
What you'll do
- Assist with end-to-end contract workflows for clients and freelancers across global markets.
- Keep legal records up to date and ensure information remains accurate across different countries and systems.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to keep processes moving smoothly.
- Handle service agreement processing with a high level of technical accuracy.
- Spot process delays, report mistakes, and support improvements to legal operations.
What you bring
- 2 to 4 years of experience in legal operations, contract administration, or another structured administrative function.
- Hands-on experience managing large volumes of contracts and maintaining digital records with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in international business settings and with legal technology tools is considered an advantage.
- A methodical, process-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and careful workflow tracking.
- A bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience.
- A professional certification in Contract Management or Legal Administration is highly regarded.
- Comfort using Google Workspace, Excel or Google Sheets, and CLM or e-signature tools such as DocuSign.
- Fluency in both English and French, spoken and written.
Benefits and compensation
- Monthly gross total compensation of 50,000 to 60,000 MUR.
- Remote working arrangement.
- Option to work from abroad for up to 20 days each year.
- Annual leave and local public holidays in line with legal requirements.
- Access to a learning platform and an individual yearly training budget.
- Private medical insurance after the probation period.
- Referral bonus for successful recommendations.
Additional information
Candidates who do not match every requirement are still encouraged to apply. The company values mindset, potential, and alignment with its mission alongside technical capability.
