Job description

About the Company

Alleviation is a supplemental insurance provider focused on helping individuals and families strengthen their financial protection and peace of mind. The company offers insurance solutions that work alongside existing coverage to help reduce out-of-pocket healthcare costs, with an emphasis on reliable service and broad coverage options.

Role Overview

This is a beginner-friendly opportunity for someone eager to enter the insurance field while building sales and client service capabilities. In this position, you will identify prospects, connect with potential customers, and meet with them to understand their coverage needs before presenting personalized insurance options. The role is active, fast-moving, and centered on creating a positive impact for clients.

What Helps You Succeed

  • You can stay resilient and keep moving forward when faced with setbacks or difficult situations.
  • You are comfortable managing your own schedule and working independently without needing constant supervision.
  • You communicate clearly, present ideas well, and enjoy starting conversations with new people in a variety of settings.
  • People with backgrounds such as college athletics, hospitality, small business ownership, travel, or self-driven learning and personal development often adapt well here.

Core Responsibilities

  • Use the company’s Salesforce-based CRM to organize leads, develop new business, and grow your professional reach across your assigned area and nearby communities.
  • Handle customer questions and follow-ups through phone, email, or text as needed.
  • Arrange meetings with both prospective and current clients to review insurance requirements.
  • Join scheduled calls and check-ins with your manager and team.
  • Visit local businesses in person, build relationships with owners, follow up on referrals, and support existing clients when needed.
  • Develop and maintain your own client base over time.
  • Work with your sales manager to establish monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Set your weekly plan and working hours, then share that schedule with your manager each week.
  • Log your daily activity and sales progress at the end of each workday.

Additional Qualifications

  • Must clear a thorough pre-employment background screening.
  • Need a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Should already hold an active Health and Life Insurance Producer license in the state of residence, or be willing to obtain one. A study course is provided at no cost, and state licensing fees may be reimbursed.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or at least 4 years of post-secondary work experience is required. Candidates who are within 6 months of finishing a degree, or who have under 4 years of professional experience but bring relevant sales or athletic experience, may also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Structured classroom learning and field-based training are included.
  • Pay includes a weekly draw option plus commissions, with no earning cap and a short sales cycle of 3 business days.
  • Additional earning opportunities include monthly cash bonuses, quarterly stock share bonuses, incentive trips, and vested renewal commissions.
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage becomes available after 60 days of employment.
  • Advancement is based on performance.
  • Work schedule flexibility is tied to results rather than hours alone.
  • Ongoing professional development, advanced sales training, and leadership classes are provided.
  • The workplace culture emphasizes teamwork, healthy competition, and a strong drive for success.
