Job description
About the Company
Alleviation is a well-known provider of supplemental insurance solutions focused on helping individuals and families gain greater financial protection and peace of mind. Its products are built to complement existing coverage and close common gaps in healthcare-related expenses. The company emphasizes strong customer care and a broad range of coverage options.
Role Overview
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn the insurance field while developing strong sales and customer service capabilities. In this position, you will reach out to prospective clients, meet with them to understand their needs, and present tailored insurance options. The role is fast-moving and people-focused, with the chance to create a real impact for clients.
What Helps Someone Succeed
- Comfort with challenges and a willingness to push through obstacles.
- The ability to organize your own day, work efficiently, and stay on top of your schedule without constant supervision.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation ability, including confidence speaking with new people and helping them open up.
- Many top performers have backgrounds such as former college athletes, servers, small business owners, early risers, frequent travelers, or people committed to self-development and continuous learning.
Core Duties
- Use the company’s customized Salesforce CRM to build lead lists, develop client opportunities, and expand your network across your territory and nearby communities.
- Answer questions from clients by phone, email, or text when needed.
- Arrange appointments with current and prospective clients to review insurance needs.
- Join scheduled calls and meetings with the sales manager and team.
- Visit local businesses in person, build relationships with owners, follow up on referral opportunities, and continue servicing existing clients.
- Develop and manage your own client base.
- Work with your sales manager to establish monthly and quarterly goals.
- Plan your weekly schedule and working hours, then share that plan with your sales manager each week.
- Track daily work activity and sales results at the end of each workday.
Additional Qualifications
- You must pass a thorough pre-employment background screening.
- A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required.
- You should already hold an active Health and Life Insurance Producer license in your state of residence, or be prepared to obtain one; a study course is provided at no cost and state licensing fees can be reimbursed.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or at least 4 years of work experience after high school. Candidates within 6 months of completing a degree, or with less than 4 years of professional experience but a relevant sales or athletic background, will also be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
- Classroom training plus field-based training are included.
- Pay includes a weekly draw option plus commissions, with no earning cap and a short 3-business-day sales cycle.
- Additional earning opportunities include monthly cash sales bonuses, quarterly stock share bonuses, incentive trips, and vested renewal commissions.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage becomes available after 60 days of employment.
- Promotions are based on performance.
- Your schedule is guided by results rather than time spent working.
- Ongoing professional development, advanced sales training, and leadership development classes are provided.
- The culture emphasizes teamwork, friendly competition, and a drive to succeed.
Other Information
This position is designed for candidates who enjoy challenge, personal accountability, and relationship-based selling.
