Role Summary
Eurofins is looking for an entry-level scientist to join and support its expanding team in South Brunswick, NJ.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and run experiments according to approved protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Complete assigned study tasks efficiently and with limited direct supervision.
- Mix and prepare test solutions and diets as instructed.
- Carry out dosing activities, necropsies, and related study procedures.
- Administer doses, observe and record responses, perform necropsies, and collect blood, urine, fecal, and tissue samples in line with protocols and SOPs.
- Keep detailed and accurate experimental documentation in accordance with good laboratory practices.
- Support the preparation of study reports.
- Comply with all PSL safety requirements.
- Use a respirator safely when required.
Candidate Profile
The right candidate will bring strong computer, scientific, and organizational abilities, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. Success in this role also requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, a self-motivated and adaptable approach, and a positive attitude. The role calls for someone who can quickly learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks at once, maintain accurate records, follow instructions carefully, and adhere to company policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science, or biology is preferred; equivalent directly related experience may also be considered.
- Eligibility to work in the United States permanently without any restriction or sponsorship is required.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time, on-site position based in South Brunswick, NJ. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Applicants who live within a reasonable commuting distance of South Brunswick are encouraged to apply.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay rate for this role is between $21 and $25 per hour, depending on experience.
