Position Overview
The role of Engineer - Tool and Die involves overseeing the complete manufacturing cycle of aluminum frames, ensuring optimal functionality of framing machinery, and maintaining precise tooling operations to meet quality standards.
Key Duties
- Oversee the entire production workflow for aluminum frame fabrication.
- Manage operations of 4 cleat and 8 automated framing machines effectively.
- Possess hands-on experience with cleat production and operation of short and long frame machines.
- Understand raw materials including short/long profiles and cleat dimension specifications.
- Interpret and utilize dimensional drawings for fabrication and machining processes.
- Manage product changeover procedures efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Operate cutting machines with attention to cutting wheel lifespan and timely spare part management.
- Maintain and operate die tooling components such as drain holes, earth stamps, and mounting holes.
- Handle maintenance of stamping sections including crimping plate replacements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for all tooling-related issues.
- Update daily production reports and checklists accurately.
- Participate in toolbox talks and daily CLTI sessions to promote workplace awareness.
- Adhere to industrial Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards consistently.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory. Candidates should have between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in tool and die engineering within a manufacturing environment.
