Energy Investing - Associate / Senior Associate

Overview

Madison Hunt is working with a major global energy investment platform to find an Investment Associate for its investing team in Houston. The team commits long-term capital across the worldwide energy value chain, backing both traditional energy and energy transition businesses, infrastructure assets, and newer decarbonization opportunities.

This role sits within a multi-billion-dollar portfolio and a globally active investment program, offering hands-on involvement in complex, high-impact transactions across a wide range of energy sectors.

What the role involves

• Assessing and helping execute principal investments in energy and infrastructure
• Building financial models, preparing valuation analysis, and supporting investment committee presentations
• Carrying out commercial and financial due diligence
• Tracking portfolio companies and contributing to value creation efforts
• Working across conventional energy, power, energy transition, carbon management, and other emerging energy themes

Experience profile

The position is intended for professionals with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or transaction advisory.
