About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Employment Lawyer to join the Employment team of a well-established national law firm based in Bristol. This role offers flexible options including hybrid and fully remote working, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time commitments. The successful candidate will independently manage their own caseload, focusing on Employment Tribunal matters, and provide comprehensive employment law advice and support to insurer clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Employment Tribunal claims including preparing pleadings, witness statements, and settlement documentation.
- Advise clients on potential tribunal claims and deliver practical, commercially minded employment law guidance.
- Conduct settlement negotiations, assist in drafting settlement agreements, and engage counsel or advocates when required.
- Support the team with non-contentious employment issues such as employment contracts, handbooks, and related documentation.
- Work in accordance with insurer service level agreements, progress cases via case management systems, and assist with billing and invoicing processes.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven experience or strong knowledge of employment law.
- Capability to independently manage caseloads and determine case strategies, with support when needed.
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEx, or possess equivalent experience with intentions to qualify.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Positive teamwork attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
