About the Role
The Employee Relations Associate supports Disney Experiences by partnering with employees and leaders at key moments throughout the employment journey. This position suits someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and helping build a workplace that is collaborative, inclusive, and aligned with the company’s mission and values.
What You’ll Do
- Speak with employees to collect complete details about workplace concerns that have been raised.
- Receive, document, and monitor employment-related complaints, claims, inquiries, and legal notices, then determine whether Employee Relations, business leaders, or other partners should be involved to ensure a prompt response and resolution.
- Gather records, supporting materials, and other needed documentation from internal teams and stakeholders.
- Support the full investigation process and related case handling activities.
- Keep case records, tracking logs, and status updates accurate and current, following internal procedures, deadlines, and record retention expectations.
- Enter detailed notes and supporting documents into the Employee Relations case management platform in a timely manner.
- Help build understanding and compliance with company policies through coaching, presentations, and training facilitation.
- Work with Labor Relations, People & Culture Business Partners, Security, and other teams as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, sociology, industrial labor relations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on experience with workplace investigations.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven ability to resolve conflict and provide consultative support.
- Capability to juggle competing priorities, manage multiple projects and responsibilities, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong ability to review data, patterns, and insights to identify root causes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence others.
- Comfort handling sensitive and confidential matters with neutrality and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Employee Relations.
- Spanish fluency in speaking and writing is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to Collective Bargaining Agreements or working knowledge of labor law.
- Understanding of employee relations and federal/state employment laws such as Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, and FMLA.
Additional Information
This is a 6-month project hire based in Florida.
The offered annual pay range for this Lake Buena Vista, FL role is $83,000 to $101,400. Final compensation may vary based on internal equity, the candidate’s location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included, along with the company’s full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the level and position.
