Job overview
This position focuses on driving and improving Nextcare’s Emiratization agenda. The role is centered on building, delivering, and refining initiatives that support the hiring, growth, and long-term retention of UAE national talent. You will partner with senior leaders and external bodies such as government stakeholders, the Ministry of Human Resources, the Central Bank of the UAE, NAFIS, and college and university leaders to set objectives and deliver on targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, rollout, and ongoing enhancement of the organization’s Emiratization strategy.
- Meet Emiratization targets within the required timeline.
- Prepare budgets, objectives, and priorities related to Emiratization.
- Support applications for monthly government pension rebates.
- Review internal rules, policies, and procedures to remove obstacles to hiring UAE nationals.
- Work with senior leadership to create and share Emiratization policies and guide teams on their correct use.
- Coordinate with the HR recruitment function to keep UAE national hiring and development programs at the forefront.
- Partner with management to identify roles and departments suitable for UAE nationals.
- Advise on employee relations matters involving UAE nationals.
- Support staff development and participate in Emirati promotion and selection decisions.
- Handle additional tasks or reasonable requests as needed to support business needs.
- Create and implement retention measures to reduce Emirati employee turnover.
- Maintain compliance with government Emiratization requirements and quota rules.
- Monitor regulatory changes and adjust plans and actions accordingly.
- Track the development progress of Emirati employees.
- Identify capability gaps among Emirati staff and develop training plans to address them.
- Support the success of key Emiratization initiatives such as the Emirati Graduate Program and Internship Learning Program.
- Encourage participation of the company and Emirati employees in awards and competitions such as NAFIS and GSS Emiratisation Award to highlight achievements and recognition.
- Operate effectively in a workplace influenced by AI, machine learning, analytics, and cloud-based tools, using data responsibly and in line with governance, security, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Prior exposure to Emiratization programs.
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the role.
- Legally authorized to work in the country of operation.
- No restrictions on travel.
