Role Overview

Compton Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Art Teacher to deliver art education at the elementary level in Compton, CA. This is a full-time, on-site position with a work year spanning 184 days. The pay is dependent on experience, with an annual salary range of $67,404 to $125,656 for credentialed candidates, along with a $1,000 yearly stipend for those holding a Doctorate degree.

Required Qualifications

• A valid Single Subject Credential with Art authorization is mandatory. Intern applicants must provide a university-issued intern eligibility letter.
• Possession of English Learner Authorization is required.
• Applicants must submit a current résumé, noting that résumés alone will not suffice—completion of the EdJoin application and relevant sections including AB 2534 and Work Experience is essential.
• Letter of introduction submission is compulsory.
• Evidence of passing the CSET or a Subject Matter Waiver Letter must be included.
• Three professional recommendation letters, signed and dated within the last two years by immediate supervisors, are necessary.
• Official transcripts must be attached; incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
