About Bremer Tresor

Bremer Tresor is Germany's premier online specialist for certified safes, gun cabinets, and security cabinets, established in 1978. We are recognized for trust, quality, and personalized customer service. Our reach extends through our online shop, digital sales channels, and an in-house service center.

The increasing demand for security presents continuous opportunities for new products, categories, and business ventures. We are seeking an E-Commerce Category Manager to actively enhance our current product assortment, identify new market potentials, and successfully develop both products and categories.

This role involves optimizing our existing inventory and developing new products, categories, and services. You will analyze opportunities, test innovative ideas, and refine successful concepts in collaboration with our team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of the existing product range, evaluating sales, profit margins, conversion rates, customer feedback, and market potential.
  • Develop current product categories and identify new ones by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer input.
  • Enhance product offerings, refine product data, strengthen sales propositions, and improve customer value to boost conversion and revenue.
  • Oversee the financial performance of designated product categories, focusing on sales, profit, and growth targets.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, CRM, Sales, and E-Commerce departments to optimize existing categories and scale successful product initiatives.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce, category management, or a similar role with direct responsibility for products, assortments, or categories.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial acumen, with a keen sense for market opportunities, customer needs, and profitable business models.
  • Employ an analytical approach to decision-making, relying on data and metrics.
  • Work in a structured, pragmatic, and self-directed manner, with a high capacity for execution.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and e-commerce platforms; experience with Shopify or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm for experimentation, taking ownership, and driving initiatives forward.

Perks

  • Work directly with senior management, enjoying significant autonomy and scope for decision-making.
  • Opportunity to directly influence product assortment, revenue, and the company's future trajectory.
  • Involvement in shaping new products, categories, and business ideas from conception through to scaling.
  • Benefit from streamlined decision-making processes and a proactive team environment.
  • Work in a modern office located in Bremen's Überseestadt district.
  • Enjoy flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work arrangements upon discussion.
  • Long-term career prospects within a growing, family-run enterprise.

Additional Information

We prioritize both professional competence and cultural fit, fostering a team environment that is direct, uncomplicated, and emphasizes personal responsibility. Good ideas are valued, and every team member is encouraged to feel they are making a tangible contribution.
