Overview

This role is for a District Manager in Fulfillment Operations, based in Canada. You will lead extensive fulfillment operations across a network of partner facilities, focusing on optimizing logistics, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing outstanding experiences for both merchants and customers. Your role as a strategic leader will connect fulfillment teams with other departments to drive improvement in a dynamic e-commerce setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and expand a regional network of fulfillment centers to support scalable operations and business growth.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to pinpoint areas for improvement and uphold accountability.
  • Coach and develop operational leaders, offering guidance and fostering their professional advancement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, supply chain, customer service, and merchant support to elevate overall service quality.
  • Set operational benchmarks and service level goals that increase satisfaction for merchants and customers.
  • Assess opportunities for capital investments in equipment, technology, automation, and warehouse systems.
  • Help implement new operational tools and processes aimed at boosting productivity and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on e-commerce fulfillment trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Work alongside internal and external stakeholders to assess fulfillment partners and overall capabilities.
  • Ensure operations conform to safety, compliance, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites using data to guide decisions.
  • Travel frequently (around 50%) to regional facilities to lead execution and ensure team coordination.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in operations, logistics, supply chain, business, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 to 6 years of progressively responsible experience in operations management, fulfillment, logistics, or warehouse leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing direct-to-consumer (DTC) fulfillment operations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex warehouse or fulfillment environments involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for analyzing data, detecting trends, and delivering actionable insights.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience collaborating with technology teams to improve these systems.
  • Strong grasp of e-commerce operations, fulfillment workflows, and supply chain enhancement.
  • Experience with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) or Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication capabilities to influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to excel in rapidly changing, high-pressure environments.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to operational challenges and problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Canada for onsite support.
