Role overview
Queensland Police Service is seeking a District Business Coordinator to support the South Brisbane Police District. The district is the largest in the Brisbane Police Region by population, with 858,087 residents, and has recorded the region’s fastest growth over the past five years at 1.2%.
South Brisbane Police District includes 21 police divisions: Dunwich, Redland, Cleveland, Capalaba, Macleay, Wynnum, Russell Island, Mt Ommaney, Inala, Sherwood, Calamvale, Acacia Ridge, Holland Park, Carina, Mt Gravatt, Moorooka, Annerley, Coorparoo, Dutton Park, West End and Morningside.
The role is based at the South Brisbane District Office in the Upper Mount Gravatt Police complex on Logan Road, Upper Mount Gravatt. Please refer to the role profile for complete information.
What you will do
You will provide senior-level support and strategic guidance to District Management, Officers in Charge and Administration Officers so that corporate service obligations are managed effectively from both an operational and legislative perspective.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, especially corporate service teams supporting the District, to build productive working relationships and deliver the required outcomes. This may also include representing the District in meetings, forums and committees when needed.
The position involves coordinating compliance audits, analysing the findings, and helping design, introduce and assess improvement initiatives for Corporate Services.
You will also review Government, QPS and District administrative policies, while contributing to the creation and rollout of new policies and initiatives.
In addition, the role supports change management activities and capability uplift through training coordination, skills gap analysis and identification of future workforce skill needs.
Financial administration is another key part of the job, including equipment and purchasing tasks, support to the Finance Officer with financial reporting, and monitoring the District’s financial performance.
